21th Century Skills 

"21th century skills" includes twelve abilities that  learners' need for learning and succes in education.  

 The twelve 21st Century skills are: Critical thinking, Creativity,  Collaboration, Communication, Information literacy, Media literacy, Technology literacy, Flexibility, Leadership, Initiative, Productivity, Social skills. 

These skills are purposed to help students keep up with the  today’s conditions.

 The skills have been grouped into three main areas. Learning skills, Literacy skills, Life skills. 

And here the some points about Creativity from Learning skills.

 

Creativity

Creativity is one of the keys of learning and teaching. dictionary meaning says that it is the use of imagination or original ideas to create something. According to Sternberg Creativity is a cluster of skills that are needed to produce ideas that are both original and valuable. The inclusion of creative teaching strategies in lessons increases students ' attention to the teacher and class. Playing memory games, giving regular breaks and intervals to bring some creativity, creating a flexible classroom environment can improve attention spans. Going out of patterns brings with it technology. Creativity can make the student to experience both success and failure, and thus students are able to adapt to each condition. Also, a classroom environment that encourages creativity opens up a world of communication for them. Learners can develop innovative thinking and speaking skills while communicate with each other. With the use of Creativity in the classroom problem solving and critical thinking skills can develop.

People who has perspective fueled by creativity always have a desire to learn new things. Their passion for learning and curiosity will enable learners to continue their lifelong learning.
